(CLOSED) Operation: Hearts and Minds (Airsoft; Pungo, Virginia)

**EDIT 11-16-08** To avoid any caveat for any legal repercussion, the original audio tracks have been removed because my license expired for the use. The tracks have been replaced with a generic, consented use track, so at least the video will still be on here(and so I can't get sued :P).

This Airsoft Operation took place at Poseidon Airsoft Group's Field in Pungo, outside of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Many Airsoft Players came from around the State to compete in this event, which overall was a complete success and an awesome time.

"On Saturday March 15, 2008 elements of the United States Marine Corps' special forces unit known as MarSOC were ordered into the Afghanistan village of Nangahar to cripple Taliban forces operating in that area. Within minutes of the beginning of the operation several Taliban operatives posing as civilians were detained and questioned. Red Cross workers were safely able to give aid to the villagers of Nangahar but after MarSOC secured the village the Taliban offered heavy resistance. During the engagement a Taliban poppy field was discovered and burned meanwhile 25lbs of pure Afghan Heroin, destined for Mexico, was confiscated and destroyed. However the Taliban were able to smuggle two of their three major weapons shipments to Iraq that will undoubtedly hinder US efforts in the Middle East. 31 Taliban were confirmed captured and held however several escaped with the help of infamous Jihadists Abdullah al Phyre and Ahmed Karatos.

In the afternoon MarSOC was able to capture invaluable enemy intelligence from a training camp that has given the United States the location of every Taliban training camp on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Mohammed Al Tehran was able to escape US forces capture again.

I know some guys on Taliban felt like it was a massacre but keep in mind a team made up of mostly new players were able to take on a team of mostly seasoned Airsoft players and almost beat them on the objectives end... On the prisoner end... Wow..."

@jabbadjaws Unlike your elitist, narrow-minded self, Poseidon was open for players of all caliber. Also, we didn't have vehicles, and only 1 in 20 people really wear helmets in Airsoft.

@jabbadjaws You are a f-ing moron. Bagwsp is right, only 1 in 20 people wear helmets. This is because after lugging a 15 pound gun around in all your gear in the hot weather, gets pretty darn tough. You see, im the Support Gunner on my team, and since im the only one carrying a backpack in combat, i have to carry all their extra gear and mine. In my follwing comment, there is what i have to carry.

Why did Poseidon close down? I was really wanting to start playing airsoft, but now that there is no place to play, seems useless...Do you know of any other fields in the Hampton Roads area?
