You only get 7.7fps using the AA Batteries n 7.5fps using the other nikon battery. You get 8fps using the EN EL4, which going to set you an additional $250aud.

should you have the camera pulling primary battery power from in in camera battery... so you dont drain the AAs as fast? does it work like that?
