@greatgnomex @Purianite . MAME doesn not use the GPU at all, only for image filters and scaling . All polygon rendering is done by simulating by CPU all the board's ones . So you need a very powerful CPU to emulate that monster .

does anyone know of a torrent link for me to download this classic game for my pc???

i used to play this game on occasion when the marvel vs. capcom arcade game was tied up with greasy fingered junk food eating kids. this was in brooklyn new york at prime time billiards. i remember i couldn't really beat the game but i had a lot of fun and the music was great too. hah, i remember the title screen announcer saying "california speed"

So, I finally got to play the arcade version of this game. As you might be able to see in this video, this game's AI puts the A in AI. Here's how artificial it is:
Each car drives with an invisible, infinitely wide wall in front of it. Thickness depends on the difficulty level set in test mode. You have to whittle away at each individual car's wall, then it lets you pass. If you're halfway past already, to eliminate the wall, bump the opponent. It also lets you pass opponents that crashed.

Old comment, but oh well. It's probably not the video. MAME has a tendency to screw up the sound like that sometimes.
The description says that the sound problems are caused by the strain of emulating the 3Dfx card for this game.

-I would pay full price if arcade perfect version will be released for WII or XBOX 360.

Awesome. The developers were rather practical about it then.
Oh really? My name is Marlon Brando!!! XD
