http://www.mikeyssmail.com/3_Colour_Granny_Square.html This is one of the most fastest and easiest ways to create a blanket. Using 3 colours to create a spiraling effect. It is my favourite. We have a written pattern for this as well as the video.

  • do you have a facebook page as well? I clicked on the website but it's said it's no longer available. I'm trying to do a baby blanket and wonder if I use a I hook that there will be less gap for baby to snag digits on.

  • @Janettesminutes if you go to fb and search the crochet crowd the page should pop up.... :) you can use and I hook instead and it will close up the gaps a little... you can use any sz hook your comfortable with to go along with the yarn your using but a smaller hook means a smaller blanket so you will have to go around the square more times to get the sz blanket you want :) Cathy@The Crochet Crowd Helpdesk :)

  • Thanks!(: it helped!!!! And would there be anyway to do this in two colors? My moms boyfriend is paying me to make him a LSU Blanket and he absolutely LOVES this design but LSU is only two colors. So I would love to know if there is any way to do it with two colors.

  • @Dutchkruezkat yes this tutorial shows how to add three colors but just add the two instead ....once added just carry the colors around and around...cathy@the crochet crowd helpdesk :)

  • How exactly do you end it? I was looking through the comments and I'm still so confused!! Would you mind putting up a video on how to end it? It would be very helpful since Im a kinetic learner

  • @Dutchkruezkat I posted a tutorial link on your youtube page for how to end this project... :)

  • @dethlord174 I wish my husband would crochet with me even a little or be even excited about new projects I decide to do, the first guys that I knew crocheted was black n not gay he was strong n confident , I really admired that n he actually sparked my first interest I. Crochet I'm th

  • Can I do it with 2 colors?

  • I made this as a pillow cover thing and gave it to my mum. It is really pretty. I finally finished it and uploaded an picture. I shared it with the Crochet Crowd group on Ravelry. :)

  • @dethlord174 No, I don't think so. Your just in touch with your feminine side. :) I actually think it is cool that guys crochet and it takes a lot of guts to tell people you crochet, because they always will judge you. It doesn't matter if you are male or female, I also get judged as ''old school granny''. If you are having fun while crocheting, it doesn't matter what other people think.

  • I'm a first time lover of crotchet I'm an 18 year old male, and a lot of rumor goes that I'm gay. I'm not I have a fiancé and me and her are happy! Dose crotcheing make a male gay???!
