This is just a rough sketch made over few hours to check how the 2013 Grand Prix of America would look like. I used Tilke's blueprints to position track and barriers.

I used FSONE 2009 mod and BTB.

Of course graphics sucks! It's just cause it's a "sketch"! And my driving is "sketchy", as well xD

All objects are currently from different BTB xPacks.. Only the New York skyline is made by me.. I intend to edit the whole track, with new objects and to make it as realistic as possible..

If you want to join the project PM me!

I've lived on turn 12 for a decade, lemme address 2 concerns...

    1. Not technical enough: Maybe true compared to other tracks but this mod mentions but doesn't really show how narrow the streets on the elevation changes are - finding the best line will be tricky. Turns 14-15 (double hairpin) is hairy on the downslope.

    2. Nowhere to overtake: Turns 6-10 is an extra-wide boulevard with overtaking potential, turns 16-Finish will be through what is now a parking lot so as wide as they want.

Not really no places to overtake, I counted 4, Turn 1,3,14 and 18, and the section from turn 4 through to turn 12 looked fairly challenging. But thats my opinion.

Really, really interesting track, if that is how the real one is supposed to be. I like it. Going down the street at full throttle, after the forest area, is something not seen in F1 in ages, I think, and I must say that it seems scary even in a videogame. On the other hand, I find the barriers at the sides of the track too simple and low, and probably ineffective too, in case of a crash (cars could "fly" over those barriers in case of a crash), mostly in the fast area in the park or forest.

I think this looks better than Monaco.

Are you blind or just stupid?

There's a shitload of technical corners here, certainly more than the stupid new Russian circuit they're building or even Valencia. There's lots of high-speed corners, even more sweeping ones, in real life it'll be very bumpy and there'll be lots of spots to avoid like the drain on the hill going down to the hairpin in monaco, there's only 3 90 degree corners, and there's more elevation changes than on your mother's bikini line.

It looks like a good track but I don't think America needs two f1 races, they should try and set up a race in Mexico.

my frnd giv me another simulator as gud as rfactor ? rfactor is dependant on mods, some mods have real physics some dont, some tracks are made to resemble real life, some are fictional, it depends on the developer which can be anyone, even you and me.

Contact me if you would like some raw video footage from the track. I am working on a "track walk" video and would be happy to give you access to the raw images.
