On May 29th, the Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey's Healthy Families-TIP and Parent Linking Program networks joined together for a one-day conference to celebrate the parents and professionals throughout New Jersey that do the important work of raising our state's children. Our 7th annual Strengthening Those Who Touch the Lives of Children conference commenced with a welcome address from Rich Lisk, a survivor of childhood abuse and neglect. Reverend Darrell Armstrong, former director of the NJ's Division of Prevention and Community Partnerships, then shared an inspirational keynote address. Nearly 300 people were in attendance. They were offered 16 workshops on topics such as Empowering Parents, Recognizing Postpartum Depression, and Stress Relief and Reduction.
