The song is Jobim's "One Note Samba" ("Samba de Uma Nota Só"). I love Brazilian music but somehow it never ends up sounding very Brazilian when I play it. This one is no exception.

The guitar is my personal Soloway Gosling Single 15" with the wider finger style spacing. I think it's one of the best sounding instruments we've ever built. It has a huge neck, a wonderful Sitka spruce top and an amazing pickup that Steve Blucher at DiMarzio made for me. I have the entire guitar tuned down a full step to standard D. (A friend thinks I'm having a flashback to my 7-string days)

I'm playing through a Pod HD (the desktop bean shaped unit) running a Blackface Deluxe model with a bit of reverb and trem. It's running direct to my recording interface/pre-amp. It's also feeding a Verve FBT 8ma powered speaker for live sound in the room. That's been my standard setup for several months now and after decades of searching for "the" amp, I've never been happier.
