Sorry, we used a double negative. We said "not that it's not necessary to have it in your body", as in we're saying people need it. They can get it from vitamins and fortified foods.

Actually eating vegan is far cheaper. You're not paying for pricey meat and cheese, you're buying leafy greens, veggies, fruits, and other cheap foods.

...It's as necessary as vitamin C or Calcium. (which, by the way, are the only things OJ is fortified with)

Just because you can survive without it doesn't mean you can omit it from your diet. Can I survive only off meat, animal products and vitamin supplements? Yeah. Will I be healthy? Hell no.

I'm sure you can be vegan and not live decadently. That was a bad word choice. But a healthy vegan diet is extremely costly and difficult to accommodate.

Fortified OJ and soymilk is in every major grocery store in the country. Vegans do not live decadently, we can promise you that :)
