The Ignika is finally here in plastic! We've been waiting 2 years for it, and now it's finally here. It's been worth the wait too, for it is almost worth £5 on its own, making the £15 price of the set a steal.
The Ignika comes in yellow and black, which from the failure that was Hewkii Mahri last year, you'd think Lego would have left it. However it does work very well in the Ignika, due to the lack of blending on any of his pieces. This makes him look like a bee, not a bowl of soup (Like Hewkii Mahri did), and makes him look very intimidating.
However his colour scheme isn't the only thing stolen from Hewkii. His weapon is too. This is disappointing, as the warblade is used everywhere nowadays on lego sets. This unoriginality isn't just a bad point, it's actually his worst feature.
The Midak skyblaster is another great feature, but it is exactly the same as on the other Toa, and is nothing really to write home about. It's good, don't get me wrong, but do I need to explain how good it is AGAIN?!
The Skyboard is just staggeringly amazing. It is really well constructed (more so than the image on the box would make you think) and has amazing MOCing potential from all the weapons you get from it. However, the presence of the blue connectors is just a bit weird, as Lego insist on ruining some of the colour schemes on sets. Maybe it's to make it look more like something you've built?
All in all the skyboard gives the set great playability. The wings can fold out, and it's sheer size makes it great for flying around the room going 'swoosh'. Even as a 15 year old I still found myself doing it.
PROS
THE MASK OF LIFE IS FINALLY HERE
The skyboard is one greatly designed piece of kit.
The Ignika has a good colour scheme
The Midak skyblasters are good (for the seventh time)
He has good posability and playability.
CONS
That damn Warblade is back for the fourth time!
He's Good. Really Good. But what do you expect from the Toa of Life?
9.8/10
But in all honesty, considering the Toa Mata Nui is out, and they're releasing a Titan Mata Nui that has the Toa Ignika sized mask but in a goldish colour, is it still worth it to get him? I mean I like the skyboard, but on his own without the mask hes kinda simple. I have a few spare parts I could use to build him if I wanted to.

Not worth getting him if you can get the Mata Nui titan. This set was great in 2008, but not it'll be outdated rather quickly.
