Scar survive from the emission and everyone are jealous about it. Now we are doing some tasks like Lookout Tower and the Church, what doesn't even look like a church to me.

You mean the emission? Where sky turns red and all that? When that happens, you need to go to a safe place. You can find this safe place by looking at your compass. Or was that only in Call of Pripyat? :D

  • @Xerxes1688 And pigeye mayonnaise! \8-P

  • @IggyHazard Like borscht, mixed with BBQ'd cow brains and ozone. X-D

  • @Xerxes1688 What do you think the noosphere tastes like?

    \8-o

  • @IggyHazard The Zone is like an open wound, it will likely never heal and even if it does heal, it will leave its mark forever. It's like the real life Zone of Exclusion, it will never be the same, even if humanity manages to rebuild the city. Either we build up an immunity to radiation or leave it be. In the STALKER universe, if it ever becomes more civilized and safer to inhabit, someone will try to reopen the wound in the noosphere to start all over again. Could be a good plot for a sequel.

  • @Xerxes1688 The Zone is better off without the C-Con even if it's still zoney. Oh well. We love our zoney Zone!

    \8-D

  • @IggyHazard The scientists behind the C-Con were altruist and paternalistic commies that believed that humanity can be appeased if forcibly stripped out of negative feelings. It's like when they try to ban guns from civilians with the excuse of reducing crimerate. I'm glad that the canon ending is the one in where Mark'd-1 destroys the C-Con but, despite that, the damage done to the noosphere is likely permanent, that's why in CoP you still found anomalies, artifacts, mutants and emissions.

  • @Xerxes1688 I always got the impression that the C-Con only believes that because they're collectivist commies. Good luck trying to convince an American to embrace collectivism!

    }:-D

    MARK•O is American in spirit.

  • @IggyHazard An individual can't affect the noosphere significantly, they had to do it via the C-Consciousness. Talk about collectivism. One way to do directly and in person would be to invent an artifact made our of a controller's brain, but it's a little far fetched since controllers can only control human minds. The only "practical" way to have tamed piggies is to bred them like Noah and Doctor did with their Pseudodogs.

  • @Xerxes1688 What do you think would happen if a Zone scientist established psychic contact with a fleshpig? XD

  • @IggyHazard His real name is E.F. Kalancha, according to the transfer order found in Call of Pripiyat. I remember playing a mod for Clear Sky that effectively changed Beanpolev's name to Kalancha. Kalancha means beanpole in russian, in the english version the added the V at the end to make it soudn more russian. Docent Suslov was in the same research team as Beanpolev and Lebedev.
