Last of the Magnetic Cards - Angrignon Metro

Part 1 in a series of videos following the last few months left of the magnetic card system in the Montreal Metro. I'm using a Tram Zone 5, $138 per month to ride the bus and metro. Our bus system does not have smart card technology as of yet, so we are still holding onto the previous more reliable (imo) fare system we've had. Several stations have removed these turnstiles over the last few weeks, and others will follow soon after. At the moment it appears only Angrignon and the downtown stations have these magnetic turnstiles left. Quite an inconvenience if you travel alot in Montreal, since you have to now wait in line at certain stations to see the changeur (ticket taker) instead of swiping the card at the turnstile. Progress, eh? Pffft...

@MysticMTL I know,that totally sucks.Before,after when you got past the booth,there were little ticket givers that you could use to get in the Bus!

@fireblaze82 Exactly! And passengers didn't used to be treated as criminals. Now there are fare inspectors that harass everyone, and if you don't have your receipt readily available you'll get a $200 fine, and have 6 inspectors surround you!

Yeah, it's a bit touchy though, the first time I swipe it sometimes it doesn't catch it. But the second time it worked.
