Haha, if thats why you just randomly attacked me, then I think you had a MAJOR mis-understanding. Theres no way in hell Microsoft could have accomplished something like this all on their own. Fact is though, who actually wrote the initial code means little whenever you consider that hundreds of games and now OS's are taking advantage of it as just a simple pixel shader. It's really not that impressive anymore.
Yeah, but do you really think that anybody at Microsoft ever wrote any substantial code that would facilitate this? All the hard work is in the drivers, written by intel, nvidia and ati.
It's called the videocard. *Biffs up side your head*
Dude, unless it's extremely inefficient, it's nothing but a stupid pixel shader. Don't tell me I don't know how this stuff works. Fact is, it's really no more "insane" for this to exist, then it is for a hard drive to hold over a few hundred gigabytes. Times change, just because it was so amazing to have a hard drive with 1GB back in the day, doesn't mean it's insane to have one with 2, today.
I was kidding. Anyway, Sometimes, I like to look behind a transparent window to see whats going on behind the window (isn't that the point?) so I'm sure, like all good kde stuff, that will be configurable.

You obviously don't understand how this stuff works

Computers age very quickly.

Windows Vista does it by itself, just using Aero.

Back in my day, that required so much processing power--and I'm only 19... how do they do that efficiently? The algorithms must be insane.
