The FitPro team threw down the gauntlet to PT of the Year 2009 Stefano Chiriaco with the punishing 60-second ViPR challenge. Here's how we - and he - did. If you reckon you can beat our scores, there'll be no glory without evidence: post your video response here. Good luck!

  • Major hip/ knee dysfunction!

  • First move.....what happened to her knee positioning? It was awful, terrible form ques. The second guy was only slighly better.

Second chick....pronating of the feet, knees buckling AGAIN! Does this guy know what to look for?

Second guy, good form good posture, looks however like he's worked out before.

Wow...just bad. Check out how Twist Conditioning does Vipr, way better.

  • sloppy form! The trainer should of picked her up on this.

  • Have a look at FitPro Music - we'll have the mix there.

  • @AMGM88 It's a mix of You Spin Me Round (Like a Record), originally by Dead or Alive/Pete Burns.

  • While I don't disagree with you all regarding some serious compensations here, I do have to come to the defense a bit. The thing you need to remember is that this is dynamic movement. This is explosive, quickly repetitive, and frequently changing direction. Watch any professional athlete and you'll see similar compensations (just not as severe). Training a person to get stronger through these movements can actually help PREVENT injury, as long as corrective programming preceded it.

  • Wow this is poor form. The second guys left leg is very weak and buckles on every second rep, you can see it pronate at the ankle and knee & 'flicks'. Needs some mobilisers and smr ;-)

  • @fewhavestrength Lol... Agreed. I like the spontaneous opposing arm swings with lunge. Good to see the consistency. Great work to the trainer for correcting posture.

  • Get the women to master the dynamics first, and the guys were even worse. If they performed the movements correctly they wouldn’t have done as many! Well done to the participants for trying though, the instructor is an imbecile.

  • The Vipr was Exclusive to Equinox in NYC for some time. it isn't a bad modality but like most of these ballistic type 0f apparatus it requires a trained individual to execute the movement and a trained individual to teach the movements. unfortunately you rarely get both in one room. As for the assertion that it's a functional workout well which workout is not?
