I agree with you that the bombing raids of WW2 brought about a fundamental where the majority of casualties are civilians rather than combatants.
I don't believe we should accept this as being irreversible.
The overuse of artillery and air strikes to minimise loss of American/British etc life cannot be justified if it causes excessive civilian casualties. As for white guilt I wonder what the American reaction would have been if Britain had dealt with Irish terrorism by bombing Belfast.
no, i'm not seeing much of it on the tv over here just on the net :(
10 mins of truth maybe week to 30 mins a night one sided view.
Humanity seems lost over here and all i keep hearing is who is right and to me their wrong.
you would think no one wants Peace :(
Keep the fight up, T.
Peace and Love=)

Although I am very critical of Israel, the state of Israel does have a right to exist and its people have a right to peace and security.
The people of Gaza have the right to peace
and they have the right to open borders so they can travel and so that their economy can flourish.
Thanks for the comment czarwright

It is so very wrong. The U.S. does bear some responsibility.
It is my hope that with a new president we will move towards a more thoughtful approach to a very complicated situation. Good to see you Tony. Hang in there my friend.

Thank you ck,
Obama's first words saying he felt for victims on both sides was a good sign.
Sometimes in these situations it appears desperate but much diplomacy is happening that we only find out about years later if ever. That's my hope anyway.
