DAMN! We rarely ever have lockdowns in my school, and when they do, the teacher will only put up paper for the windows if there is time, and we all remain working. No fair -_-. They have fire drills every month though
I brought a lockdown to my eye doctor once but it did not work so we make one from a pineapple and an old pair of underwear. it wasn't pretty but it worked fine. try that the next time you have it at school.
I've felt an earthquake before! it's really weird haha. it's scary though because when we have one then it means that the Big One might happen and I'm in part of the area that it is supposed to hit badly :(
Surprisingly, I have felt an earthquake, or more precisely a tremor, even though Britain is not in a risk zone on the edge of a plate. Was in late 2002, at about 1am, the floor kind of jerked slightly for a few moments making me think "WTF?", and a large mirror on my wall bounced about causing the cat to stare, and it set off car alarms outside.. needless to say it was a weird experience for us. It was only Richter scale 4.8 at its centre about 120 miles away from me. Strange world we live in.
