VPW13 was Videon Cable-tv's public access station... search for Videon Cable on Wikipedia for the history of this station.
BTW... does anyone have a videotape copy of VPW13 daily open? I see Jason has the station ID, but I'm looking for the opening they did in the morning or early afternoon.

Public access is now found within YouTube... Basically, you don't have to go down to a tv studio to make your own show.

Just curious, how could this be from 1980? Isn't that the theme of Star Trek: The Next Generation that plays at the beginning, and wasn't it, like, 1986 or 1987 that that premiered?
Or, was that theme music used for some other Star Trek-related thing before Next Generation?

That music was first used in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. This definitely was from 1980.
