I am surprised that Philly didn't do away with their trolley system as other cities did. I am glad. I was in Philly this past Saturday and had fun riding the 36. Then went to Genos for a cheese steak with onions and cheese wiz. Ummmmm.

What are the affordable areas of Philly to live?

@adelgado75 Mt. Airy is where I am from. It spans a large area and has a lot of nice homes in it.

when you got off at city hall did you catch the Sub to girard then caught the 15 trolley?

@SEPTAFan Did you ever wonder why there is a loop specifically at the Mt. Moriah cemetery? Many years ago, people living in the city who didn't have (and didn't need) cars would take a specially made funeral trolley to the cemetery if someone died. It had a special place to put a coffin, and it was done up tastefully in the back where the family sat. Then people would unload the coffin at the cemetery.

@SEPTAFan yep 30th street station good free interchange you can get on the EL or 10,11,13,34 or 36 for free that's only if you are coming from the EL or another trolley.
