I lived near Mrs Mainwairing as a child. She waswithout doubt Aberavons greatest supporter and I watched her set off to games with her football rattle decked in the red and black hoops of Aberavon. As a 7-8yr child I was convinced I was witnessing Dennis the Menace's mum.
A legend from the golden days of Welsh Rugby and like many legends they dont make them the same today ! (Mrs Mainwairing RIP)
