The average person in the United States of America knows not of the difference between Socialism and Communism, infact the state encourages them to have an irrational fear of Socialism when most of them know nothing about it. It reminds me of George Orwell's '1984' ironically . . .

China, however has the largest foregin reserve surplus on this planet.. demographically there might be an imbalance, but in time to come they may jolly well be calling the shots whether we like it or not.Face it.we have no intentions to work 12 hour shifts in a meat packing factory or sweeping the streets of our neighbourhood..however there are others who would queue for this opportunity.Either we prevent immigration,which will ultimately make us look racist or we embrace globalization

"Dirty jobs" is a media lie to employ cheap foreign slave labour. All they do is export cash and short work so claim taxes back. A loss leader.

@m1aws In a cynical viewpoint, the winners (for now is China) and the losers? Well the bloody rest of us! But frankly we had it good for the past decade or so havn't we? Lots of jobs on e papers, don want to do "dirty jobs",(a factory would be fine as long as i am in management)now we are in a slumps then what? Go on the dole and bitch about the government?Answers my friend we need the answers to remain relevant in the global village. We need a new industry to prop the economy.

@thevisamaster Only if those who want it have paid for it complete, as a whole or their kids will be paying for them and themselves. This crisis is here now in the UK with debts in the tri££ions. When the banks and bond markets call in their debts, the country will come under a new ownership. Slavouring?

@m1aws No I think it makes economic sence for a proper organizaiton to pool in resources to combat a fledging battle. "the graying nation" will be reaching a crisis level in 40 years time in New zealand. The state with its projected resources could not possibly sustain this burden. The only way is through investment in ongoing research and using this money to push FDA approval in pending medical trials. That way we all benifit wont we? in the end this will be a socialist ideal.
