Wayne Plant Celebrates Ford Focus Launch

Employees at Ford Motor Company celebrate the successful North American launch of the 2008 Ford Focus at the suburban Detroit plant where the car is built.
Along with its new look and new features, the 2008 Focus uses new manufacturing methods to ensure that high quality is built in to every one of Ford's small cars.

I test drove an 09 SE coupe the other day. It has rear seat headrests now and doesn't have the chrome on the side of the fender either. The passenger seat is the only one that automatically slides forward when you flip the seat up for rear seat access though.

And to the people hating, go drive a Cobalt then the Focus...You'll stop complaining about the one we have in America for now.

The next focus released here is going to be on the same chassis as the euro Focus/mazda 3/volvo S40 anyway.

I do hate why cause if you look at the european model you can get it with diesel or 6 speed and also you can get it turbo but no here in canada and the usa you get 140 hp and light in the cup holder big deal

your very right ..The Focus us model is suck if you look at the euro model has a inline 5 turbo not this horrible and they say let make some noise in the small car market who is buying this junk not me...I want the The Focus rs from oversea.

The Focus is a solid car that really is fun to drive. The '09 version addressed many complaints hurled at the '08 model. It may lack the refinement of a Honda Civic in comparison, but judged on its own merits, it scores quite well. Don't hate; appreciate.

Its hideous! a 1998 Mk1 Focus plastered with chrome. I suggest Ford of Europe do a management buy out and rid themselves of Ford US!

It is a decent car, but reviewers complained that the rear seat was too small and no head rests.
