Roberto Alagnia and Angela Gheorghiu are known, there is nothing to comment about them. I must admit that I didnt have heard Jean-Philippe Lafont. What a marvellous voice. I am really impressed. The music is fantastic. Thanks for posting.

The music and the words are so sad, romantic and beautiful at the same time. And Angela and Roberto are so moving and convincing in their roles. Fanny says in their previous duet she is 18, and Angela, although being much older, really looks youthful and girlish. She is so sweet. However, I don't quite understand what the plot is all about, what happens. Why can't they marry and have to separate? I couldn't find the plot on the Net.

César est superbe, angela et roberto majestueux ça change des opéras italiens et ce n'est pas mal du tout, il y a aussi beaucoup de lyrisme
