From what I've, kid shows from both the 80's and present day kid shows are equally terrible within their own right because I'm not a kid. They're all simple and easy to follow because it's a kid show and nothing more.

I can provide many reasons, but YouTube is not an academic paper. Okay I will give you a few. Today"s shows have no plots or poorly thought out plots. The animation is cheep. The characters are under developed. Many kid shows are either slap stick or pure educational. They are unoriginal and too infantile, so when these kids grow up they wont still want to watch the shows. The cartoons of the 1980's were well written magical journey's that contained philosophical truths about life.
