Okami (PS2) Boss #5 - Orochi (2 of 2)

2nd half of my fight against the 5th boss, Orochi. This strategy is based on using Amaterasu's powered up Infinity Judge as a main weapon and powered up Life Beads as the secondary. Refer to the Part 1 video for pre-battle dialog and strategy for Orochi's 1st phase. As with my other boss videos, my strategy isn't absolute and I wouldn't mind other effective strategies or advice posted as comments

The second half of the fight will take longer than the first because now you have to wipe out all 8 heads. Orochi's protective barrier is gone now so it's time for Ammy to get down to business! Take on whatever head you want now since they've lost their special attacks that they used earlier (I think). Just make sure you do one at a time and when you're in front of a head, stand back a ways because the neighboring heads will swing and hurt you if you're too close. The head in front of you will pause for a moment and then lunge at you really fast, which can be easily avoided with good timing and a sidestep. After the big lunge, it'll recoil and roar...you know what that means, get it blitzed with some more sake! After that it'll turn purple and fall to the ground so start clobbering. Beat it to a pulp with your weapon and Power Slashes, if your using a weaker weapon and can't kill it in one go then repeat the process and finish it off. After you defeat 4 heads, fireballs will rain down from the heavens so do your best to avoid those as you go along especially if you're going for a high no damage bonus. Repeat your drunkening and massacre of all 8 heads to finish Orochi off, then it's time for another Susano-Style mini-game, a new Divine Instrument and a nice plot twist.

btw, AR, I noticed you haven't been recently using the Boss intro music. Did Youtube become assholes whenever you used it?

No not at all. It's just I use that intro when I go straight away into the boss fight, which I'm not doing for these..

the heads can still use their abilities-it just so happened they didnt for you. but they did for me. but im playing the wii version, so idk.
