  • @FillTheirVoid I agree that many churches go to an extreme of discounting sin. should a sin like prostitution be kicked under the rug or deemed unimportant? no. should prostitutes be allowed in our church and/or be offered our best reflection of God's unconditional love? YES. Jesus was often criticized for hanging out with "sinners" (including prostitutes) and he told us not to judge one another (matt. 7:1-5)

  • @PotemkinDogs

The problem is that there are literally no "shock and awe" churches anymore. Everybody is preaching the "who cares what God says, everyone is loved" approach. It doesn't work ... the Gospel works, not strib club churches.

  • @FillTheirVoid i think his "little games" are putting that sound doctrine into action -- the fruit that Jesus commanded us to bear (john 15:16-17). I don't think he disagrees with having sound doctrine or preaching the Word, but he's just encouraging us to shine the light through living in a way that's so obviously different it's revolutionary. That's totally biblical.

  • I think that sound doctrine and the preaching of the Gospel has always and will always work. Not your little games and heresy. All you can do is entertain unbelievers and grow a church of the tares.

  • Not just that though! We all need to take up the work of an evangelist, and that work definitely needs to be our faith working hrough love as Paul wrote to the church in Galatia, but also, look at the disciples example. What did they do 1900 years ago? Pentacost happened! We can't do this alone, we need God to work through us in a mighty way, because He alone knows the heart, and when we are given wholly and completely over to Him, then truly awesome things shall begin to happen!
