Anime Ranking System
5 - Must watch, masterpiece. The anime is not only enjoyable to watch, it often connects with the viewer through its presentation and plot. More often than not, the anime is also groundbreaking in redefining the genre it represents.
4 - Enjoyable and strong delivery. The anime has some inherent flaws that prevents it to become a masterpiece, but still have strong plot and stable characters. Anime scored with 4 is solid and should only be skipped/ignored if you dislike the particular genre it represents.
3 - Show potential but failing to deliver. Often times either having a well done beginning, but failing to keep up with the pacing or plot development. "May not be everyone's cup of tea" also fall into there, as the anime may be quite niche to garner mainstream popularity. Animes of this category can still be very enjoyable, though it does not leave a good lasting impression.
2 - Grudgingly acceptable. Anime that becomes a chore to watch, either though to complete disagreement in genre or execution (pace, dialogue, characterization) of the anime. Plots are often shallow and/or have been done dozens of time before. Something that will make you regret taking the time out watching it.
1 - Shows that you've dropped. It's horribly bad, and you hate it.
