i love this band. to me it sounds like a distillation of a lot of different styles including late 60s california sunshine pop, burt bacarach & hal david, and euro pop in the style of the james bond films. i suppose when observing western culture from a distance there's a convergence of genres which are seen as very distinct when viewed up close in the west; and therefore no one would even consider mixing them even though the result is fanstastic when done with talent and good taste.

Maybe my all time favorite video. P5 is just amazing.

I love how Konishi is poking fun at Elton John in this video!

I think, as a heterosexual dude I am, that every men (even gay one) will feel a sexual attraction to J-women, at least a little (in the case of non-hetero-dude)
In my case, the way they move, talk, her facial expressions, the extremely polite manner of the Nippon, turns me on more than Alizée & Sara Varone kissing each other

It is not easy to write a catchy pop melody over such deep chords. Konishi is amazing.

Perfect soulful groove, summertime fresh, brilliant musicianship, totally sublime with a mesmeric vocal and what a classy, stylish video. Has to be appreciated again and again if you are a genuine 'eclectic' dance music lover. Why can't all genres of music be made to this standard of excellence. I can't say anymore about this group, they are just 'out of this world'. Thank- you 'Pizzicato Five', you've restored my faith in quality music again.
