The legendary and iconic musician, Lou Reed, was in Long Beach, CA to celebrate the opening of Metal Machine Trio: The Creation of the Universe, a sound installation he helped create, at CSULB's University Art Museum. He was also appearing at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in conversation with legendary music producer Bob Ezrin, and several special guests. While he was in town, he agreed to do a signing at Fingerprints Music, the famed local independent music store owned by Rand Foster. Access to the signing was very limited, and the list filled up very fast.
Background music for this video is sourced from a live performance by me (SRW), recorded at one of the Hop Frog Kollectiv's Dung Mummy events.
