I loved this music for the opening. I don't understand why they had two different versions and why they stuck with the one that wasn't as good

I completely agree, it has much more a sorrowful, desperate, lonely sense than the current one, which is appropriate for the mood of the whole show.

The video doent fit the music its dosent have the darker and deeper edge to go with the music.

Nah, i prefer old one. It seems more spiritual and holistic, this doesn't let me connect to the feeling of the show as much.

00:30 always gets me. showing the ships jumping then showing how many are still surviving.

well as far as I know, it was the US introduction theme for season 1 when shown on the TV, but then they decided they preferred the one used in the UK (the current one)
