@louisebubb ...sorry for your loss!! This song could have been released by your brother without Luther cuz listening to it, you forget that Luther had anything to do with it. I love love love love love this song!!! I have the album too.
I've been listening to and collecting soul music since 1972 and I have to say this track HAS to be one of THE all-time great losses. The collective catalogue is all the poorer for its omission and I can only hope that some day it will surface and allow others to appreciate it and the recording artists who contributed to it. Thank you very, very much for posting it.
The man singing this song is Anthony Hinton who was my brother. The sister singing this song is Diane Sulmer; and unfortunately Luther as other talented singers do take the lead and never look back. Can't hate on him. But how that went down was foul. Anthony sang his heart out but did not have the right connections as Luther. What a shame and yes it was a very beautiful.what . Anthony passed away in 2004. We have the original wax version of this album as well as the X-mas album they recorded.
I read last night that Luther purposely bought all the rights to the first two albums he released that was really a group compiled under his last name, to keep them hidden and rare after they were dropped from Cotillion due to low record sales. I wonder why, cause I've NEVER heard this track. And I'm bout to find me a copy. CAUSE THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!
