One year after the launch of Obama's stimulus package it has become painfully obvious that the stimulus's declared goals have all failed: Unemployment has grown to 10%, the economy is worse off, and tax hikes are on the way. Only one thing was stimulated: big government - it is much bigger and more destructive now. And as always when government policies fail, the politicians behind it will claim that the idea was sound but that they simply didn't spend enough money. And that's why there's now a $100 billion "jobs bill" in the works...

Ron Paul is America's leading voice for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies.

  • Ron Paul is a very intelligent man, he's done his homework and the U.S. would thrive under him

  • He's right! They shouldn't have done anything except get out of the way and let the market work itself out. The government is the problem.

  • Another genius move...

  • @bellcord We can have private fire fighters.

  • @Shaunt1 Riiiight Junior....and when your house is on fire don't call the Fire Department...the fire will work itself out..

  • Better get the rest of the story on ol'Ron...He doesn't believe in public education for our children (Private Schools only )....Dollar should be replaced by each state printing their own money (Worked so well in 1814)...Drop income tax for 3 or 4 years just to see how it goes...Drop this Social Security nonsense.....Replace Interstate highways with Toll Roads, etc.,etc...

  • @Shargrailar Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich have been the only hroes among our politicians in recent years . They say what they mean , call out corporate criminals , and want more transparency in government .

  • I am new to listening to Ron Paul and I am quite impressed with what he says and how he says it.

I think Ron Paul could correct America's course for the better but I have a feeling the "powers that be" would not stand for him and he like Lincoln would be assassinated.

  • @kirby4d I would disagree on forms of government being at fault.

I would say who is running those governments is always at fault. Successful Capitolism, unsuccessful Capitolism, successful Socialism, unsuccessful Socialism the only differences would be what idiot/wise individuals guide its growth.

  • There are fewer, and not less, jobs.

  • But the deciding factor is freedom. I would rather have control of my own income then give up the lion's share of it to taxation. Rather than be given healthcare, give me my income and I'll get my own healthcare, government cannot be trusted with the broad range of authority that socialism grants them, the potential for abuse is too high. Even in the Netherlands, a so-called socialist paradise, lawmakers are begging for an American style protection of free speech and free press.
