Faster than a speeding Katadyn ceramic pump, more wow-er-ful than an MSR gravity feed filter, able to leap over the weight stats of all other filter systems...look, up in the video frame at 0:00, it's a camera fitted smart bomb, it's an airport tarmac worker's directional signal flashlight, no...it's STERI-PEN!!!!

This does not work it still leaves the the dirt in there which still can grow bacteria as you pour it into the other bottle. the sun has UV rays and the water does not get purified. just use a hand filter or a straw filter one less step and they are proven to work

@wibowlby6 UV water treatment works, and is safe and effective, against bacteria, viruses, algae and protozoa. The UV lamp's output is concentrated to around 260 nanometers (nm) in order to take full advantage of the germicidal properties of this wavelength. The natural germicidal UV from the sun is screened out by the earth's atmosphere.

does it really work well ??

@nelson4568 Yes, it does work very well. Our Katadyn Hiker Pro stays home now. This device does not improve water clarity so you may want to strain your water before purification. We have never been ill after using the SteriPen.
