MARTYN BENNETT
Martyn Bennett was born on the 17th of February 1971 in St Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. His earliest memories of music were from the Gaelic-speaking farm communities in Cordroy Valley, in Western Newfoundland, and Milan and Scotstown in Quebec where he spent his first six years.
At the age of six his parents split up and he moved back to Scotland with his mother. At the age of ten they settled in Kingussie, Speyside where he met with his first instrument - the Great Highland Bagpipe.

I have fond memories of Martyn. Of his kindness in devoting of his time and talent in raising funds for the anti bridge toll campaign for one.
Thankyou, Calum and Malcolm.
