  • Interesting.

A member on an arborist forum was curious about the lubrication. Most chainsaws have an oiler for the chain.

How does that chain and bar get lubricated so that it does not wear out prematurely?

  • Its just a oil before use type of design.

  • The beam cutter runs at half the rpm of a chain saw so does not require constant lubricant.

  • @clockbuilderhg yeah but good luck finding one to buy...

  • just get a big foot saw

  • That's a Prazi beam cutter. There is another chain-saw / worm drive called the Linear Link saw. The Linear Link has a buit in oiler. iIf you use one of these saws a lot, the Linear Link will last a good deal longer. On the other hand, the Prazi is an add-on that installs quickly and comes right off. The Linear Link is a more permanent fixture, and really isn't made to come off in a hurry.

  • did it work out for you or did you install an oiler?

  • were did you get that bar for the Mag 77 thats damn cool...

  • I love it ...Where can I get one?
