  • would help if you posted with a full screen shot, with right hand included.

hard to see what you are doing wrong on the MUTING end if we cannot see it. Left hand seems to have a strong start, but withou tlooking at your right hand I cant help you.

  • Ive posted a new video, its called, Help. Sweep Picking. In it you can see my hands. Ive never gone to a guitar teacher so i use yotuube:P

    Thanks

  • you can try to mute the strings very slightly with your palm

  • Thats what I do. cant get any high speed while doing that tho:\

  • ????

Thats what its supposed to sound like dude.

  • In the beginning its right yes, but after that, I take off teh stuff at the neck. Thats when i get sloppy. I used a sock to stop notes from making noise.

  • thats how i learn all my techniques, and practice them. I agree completely with you and its what i tell people who want to learn how to play guitar.

  • thats the worst thing to do. youre just covering up your sloppiness.

  • Dude, I'd use your neck pickup, and turn the tone control all the way down. I do that with my Les Paul, which has an EMG Select(super bassy) in the neck position, and it makes my sweeps sound a whole lot cleaner and smoother. I still suck at them though. :D

  • Off to a solid start.

  • how i initially learned sweeps was find a song you like with them and cover it

  • You can use your thumb to stretch over the fretboard.
