What I'm saying though, is that they were influenced by the diggity sound. They sounded a lot different before that style came along.

Yep. The late 80's/ early 90's "Diggety" rap style was directly influenced by him.

LOL. Where do you think that came from? Daddy Freddy & Shinehead influenced the whole "diggity" style back in '89/'90. That, in turn, was a huge influence on Bone Thugs. You can hear the influence in everything from Jazz-O's "The originators," to Das EFX's "They want EFX." When Bone Thugs came along, the influence started dying out of rap.
