  • Sidewalks on new and rebuilt bridges are not "enhancements"; they should be integral components of *every* project unless a lack of need can be *documented*.

  • Secretary Lahood, I'm thrilled to hear about your support for Pedestrianism, Cycling, Intercity Rail and transit. However, I wish I could see more of this physical infrastructure on the ground here in New England. Amtrak's vision for a 220mph Acela Express replacement should have the same level of funding as California HSR, or more, since the NEC is the economic engine of this country.
