The RHCP set sucked in comparison to BSS. I was expecting to hear/see a much better show than the one I watched. Their encore, if you want to call it that, was terrible.
most amazing performance i was ever experiencesd. and thats the awesome thing, you dont watch and listen to bss---you experience it. we were so pissed that they didnt get an oncore. they were the best performance at lolla. i was part of the group that started the "fuck the peppers" chant.
I have like a minute and a half before this, but the clip is only a minute and a half long... i don't have a good cam, but it's a powerful clip for me... i should upload it.
The minute or so prior to this video, and the clip shown in this video, is probably the single greatest musical moment I have ever witnessed at a concert. Completely and utterly amazing.
The crowd noise and chants continued on for another good 10-15 minutes. This set easily trumped anything that was about to happen on the other side of the park.
Thanks so much for posting this...my boyfriend was in the audience and told me about this. It sounds like it was a legendary performance--that's what Lollapalooza is all about. He shed actual tears, and was so nonplussed by comparison when the RHCP's came out that he just left.

Could you? Maybe we could join it and get the whole song. I actually have a lot more of this set, but I haven't had time to upload it.
