The pistol shown is a Polish P-64, which is chambered for the Russian 9 x 18 mm Makarov cartridge. During the Cold War years, the Warsaw Pact nations standardized on ammunition used in their military weapons, but individual nations in some cases used their own native designs for their firearms. Poland and Czechoslovakia are notable in this regard. The Polish P-64 is a blowback design, and is manufactured to a high standard of quality, generally better than Russian Makarov pistols. The pistol shown is a very nice example and is fun to shoot.

  • I've shot the Makarov pistol the other day, but I didn't shoot P64 unfortunately. Tell me- does P64 has greater recoil than Makarov?

  • @ciastekwuzet1

Same cartridge and about the same size gun so I expect recoil is about the same.

  • I have many firearms. This is my favorite ccw. My wife now carries one too

  • Looks like a nice little concealed carry piece.

  • I just did a spring job and feed ramp polish on this thing. It's probably my favorite gun at the moment (And much to my wife's dismay, I do own many. :P)
