  • Silat is a collective word for indigenous martial arts of the Indonesian Archipelago of Southeast Asia. Originally created and developed in Sumatera Island and Java in what is now Indonesia, then spread to peninsular Malaysia, southern Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Pencak silat, also penchak silat or pentjak silat, is a general term used for the variant styles of silat from Indonesia to differentiate Indonesian styles from Malaysian Silat Melayu.

  • Not sure how effective this speed is with open hand, but if they could repeat it with a knife... it would be deadly!

The combination of speed with open hand may not be deadly but, enough to stun an enemy if it is landed on the right spot.. Imagine a high-speed slap to the side of your neck.. That would be unpleasant.. Deadly?? Not sure.. Stunning?? Definitely..

  • @Aldind2x

  • @JahredGomeZ

  • @swarrior80 these guys arent going full speed or power, yes bruce lee was a great martial artist, my father has a teaching degree in bruces' art but he even chooses bukti negara pentjak silat over ne other arts

  • @mclimbaugh no it was not. u have no idea what u are talking about. silat became popular if u wanna call it that mainly cause of paul de thores or pendekdar. he brought bukti negara pentjak silat in at 1985. elvis presley did not bring it here. u have received false information. sorry 2 dissappoint u but elvis did not teach this art.
