    I agree :)...

  • This is very simply spiritual materialism. Steinfeld is very gullible - has turned off any critical thinking. This is not Buddhism and is not about actual awakening or the actual path of the Buddha. This is simplistic consumer hypnosis designed to enrich the Oscar's pocket and ego and the credibility quotient of Steinfeld. There must be many many other genuine Buddhist teachings on YouTube. Seek them out and ignore this one.

  • @dirtnap1965 Exactly!

  • Buddha warned specifically against paying attention to these siddhis. They are interesting but not in any way indication of enlightenment. Respectfully, this man promotes nothing different from Christian or any other "miracles" and such, which rely 100% on ego. They may be accessed before actual so-called enlightenment. Buddha clearly said that one may not necessarily know or experience his/her own enlightenment - because enlightenment is not a dualistic experience. Siddhis are 100% dualistic.

  • The essential teaching of Tao is non-doing - wú wéi.

The essential teaching of the Gita is awareness that we are not the doer.

In the beginning of the Gita, Arjuna is greatly dejected that he must slay those whom he loves, but Krishna says early on to Arjuna that he is not the slayer and that the soul can never be slain. By the 18th chapter, Arjuna understands what he must do and accepts his spiritual responsibilities.

The journey of each person creates a dynamic that is vital in nature.

  • Well said!

  • No disrespect intended here but,

As Zen would have it, the ultimate reality is just what you are doing right now. I think what these guys are speaking of is a kind of psycho-technics. You have to be at peace and in harmony with reality before such powers can be of any good. We humans can barely handle the technics we have without wars and disease and destruction to the environment and our selves. Please, cultivate peace of mind and there will be no need to fly through the air and such.
