You might want to check again cos the airport is already completed entirely its simply a matter of a clause problem in the contract with Hochtief who runs Rinas that prevents the Kukes airport from opening...on the other hand it is said that the motorway from Durres to Kukes border will be finished by 2009, it may well be that the Kukes -Prishtine part of the motorway may not be even started by 2011 since the Kosovar government has no funds for that at this time!

no im sure it the other way around coz the airport is completimg the terminal while the road from durres to orshtin will finish in 2011

Sorry i posted without finishing the above comment. Its the other way round, the motorway will finish in 2009 and the airport might be opened by 2011 if the government settles an agreement with Hochtief AP that have Rinas in operation now. Cos Kukes cannot be an international airport with the actual Rinas contract which makes Rinas the exclusive international airport of Albania for 25 years until 2030! :(
