  • I am getting sick of this "going green" shit I keep hearing day in and day out. The people who advocate "going green" don't give a damn about the planet. They either advocate it to make money or to boost their egos or both. "Going green" in a the worst job market in generations? Go to hell!

  • Here's a tip that you forgot:

    try cooking with elecrtic skilets. 3100 watts for a stove versus 1500, or 600 for a mini/personal electric skillet.

    Nowdays, there are also battery operated blenders, and other battery operated devices. These are always cheaper, since you are in no need or in little need to be hooked up to the grid.

    Also, for that TV show you are watching and cooking along with... buy an LCD TV/monitor. They only use 60-70 watts, versus your tube TV.
