Competition (12/5/2009)
2009 USAPL Iron Lion Open
bw: 64.0 kg
SQ: 195x, 197.5, 210

DL: 185, 207.5, 220
Wilks: 443.135
The first squat was red-lighted due to depth; the second bench was red-lighted due to raising of the head. The third bench was originally deemed a "no lift" but was overturned a few minutes later for some reason. I am glad that I retained my composure after receiving many red lights and never complained to the judges; that is what I learned back in February at that competition. I respect the fact that the judges (especially in PA where powerlifting had originated) were holding all lifters to the highest standards this day. But for all practical purposes, I finished all my lifts. I apologize for the squat video, the camera sometimes gets out of focus (even on a tripod) resulting in a blurry image. Also thanks to Dustin and Anne for the support during the meet, the people that help you are crucial for success on the platform. Dustin also had some clutch driving on the incredibly treacherous roads on the way back from PA to MD. Also, a big thank you to all my youtube supporters and your constructive comments. My body is an absolute train wreck right now (right elbow tendinitis, irritated my left lower erector, pulled my left trap), I need to rest it badly.
Introspective:
Sure, I am temporarily happy with my small PRs; but at the end of the day these are not numbers that are deemed (atleast in my eyes) impressive. This is what continually drives me until I am able to register a respectable total under IPF conditions.
Very good !! Congratulations
