This was a short film entered into the VMFF in Vancouver. I was Director of Photography (handled the camera, lighting, etc.) for our five man crew. Sadly, our director threw it all away the night before our last shooting day and came up with this. It's interesting, but it's missing a major thing: a plot. Anyways, I am only responsible for the cinematograpy, so check it out anyways.

  • wow! great video! do you mind if i add it to my website for a indie page?

  • No go for it. Honestly, I only DPed and did the camera work. Directing and sound lacked a bit, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Go ahead man, let me know where its up.

    Peace.

  • Yo Matthew man, whats up? So I guess you're doing the film school after all? I'm still really wanting to go there too. You're doing really great. Great quality work man.

    Take care,

Ferdi (you know, the border patrol dude hehe)

  • Hey bud, I'm starting film school on Sept 4, I'm pretty stoked. Hows your stuff going? Hit me up on MSN bro.

  • For the scene just after the shooting when the camera is looking up you shoulda done a COD 4:L and made the image fade in and out as well as the sound.. and move the camera around slowly.. just for added drama

  • Really wish I could hear what was being said. Her audio is ok. it's other characters I have a problem with. Also, the music is too loud compared to the dialogue and ambiance levels. Kind of got tired of the long view shot...

I think it could have been better, but I think it was alright. Acting was decent for what this was, I think the POV was an odd choice.i would have had a MS of his dead body. Maybe for her an OTS then an OTS from his perspective of that whole phone call. but, it was ok

  • sure u can..

but u must pay me $200k

    now!!!

or i will murder u and fuck your girlfriend

  • it was an enjoyable film, loved the P.O.V of the guy who got shot, worked really well, so did having it in black and white, no story line but it was still an enjoyable film, filmed really well, loved the part where you track the guy with the ski mask, that was done well also

  • I really enjoyed the clip, you're right, a plot is somewhere missing but I really like the shot in which you follow the guy, somehow it comes out togehter with the music in a very expressive intense way. B/W photography looks simply so good. Real good job anyways

    greetings

    Juan

  • Nice film, I enjoyed it. Please check out my movie "That Day" although its nowhere near as good as yours.
