I've done this video to exemplify a way to capture video from the GP2X without loosing video quality. This video was done by running the VNC server on the GP2X while having it connected a PC running the VNC2SWF software to record the video output. This is me playing the GP2X Nethack, the video was converted from SWF to BMP frames and then multiplexed with ffmpeg to add the soundtrack by SFDK ("Flor y nata"). Enjoy.

  • Do you need the cradle to do this?

  • No, you don't. You need the normal usb cable.

  • awesome idea! much better than s-video capture!

  • yeah, the output looks terrific. Also some extra frame rate may be achieved by using a faster computer, mine was an old pentium II.
