These were clips about John Lennon's death 2 days later. Included are various broadcasts from different NYC channels. It's exactly how it was recorded on 12/10/1980.
Of the WPIX reporters in this clip, only Marvin Scott is still there today. And to think they descended from the "Action News" days of Pat Harper, Steve Bosh and Bill Jorgensen with Jerry Girard, to the likes of Jodi Applegate, bloviating self-sanctimonious Larry Mendte, overacting pundit Lionel, sleepwalking ex-WCBS'er Mr. G, and no sports department.
A note of correction @ 2:20, Lennon's body was removed from Roosevelt Hospital where he was transported to, and pronounced dead.

@KStarCLG He was actually born in Ft. Worth, then moved to the Atlanta suburb of Decatur within a year or two.
