  • A note of correction @ 2:20, Lennon's body was removed from Roosevelt Hospital where he was transported to, and pronounced dead.

  • @KStarCLG He was actually born in Ft. Worth, then moved to the Atlanta suburb of Decatur within a year or two.

  • Thank God I was not around during that time period,it is good to see these videos though.

  • Of the WPIX reporters in this clip, only Marvin Scott is still there today. And to think they descended from the "Action News" days of Pat Harper, Steve Bosh and Bill Jorgensen with Jerry Girard, to the likes of Jodi Applegate, bloviating self-sanctimonious Larry Mendte, overacting pundit Lionel, sleepwalking ex-WCBS'er Mr. G, and no sports department.

  • Mark David Chapman was from Atlanta? Wow. That makes my city look great.

  • 4:26 - nice shirt. ;)

  • Wow, quite a piece of history. Kind of brings home a small piece of what it meant for the world to lose John Lennon at that time.

  • Do you have the America's Top 10 special about Lennon?
