This is the first video in a two video series on how to re-fill and all around maintain your motorcycle or car battery. Your ideas and criticism are welcome! It's how I learn after all.

  • @starhobo14 Hey, Ill sent you a message about updates on my bike.

  • @jojomoor Did you use a fuse tester while the key is in the 'On' position? If all the fuses are good and nothing happens when you turn the key then you are looking at a dead battery, wiring problem, ignition switch problem, bad ground, bad connection (eg. fouled connection to the battery), and thats about all I can think of at the time. Let me know how it goes.

  • @starhobo14 Hey, I just cheked and all the fuses are intact.. Is it possible that my ignition swith/cable is shorted or broken?Nothing happends when I turn the key, as if its still in the off position.

  • lol nice vid

    :)

  • @jojomoor No problem! Thanks for the sub by the way! And also, you should make a vid of the bike and tell me the link so I can check it out. Sounds like you got a good deal on it! Hopefully you get it running again!

  • @starhobo14 Alright, Thanks for the Help!

  • @jojomoor If you can find it no, usually you have to dig a little to find them though. They are pretty cheap as well. You may be looking at a 15-20A fuse, and one (good one) would probably go for less than a dollar. Let me know!

  • @starhobo14 You must be right. From what i remember a dead battery causes things like weak starter, flashers not flashing and funny horn sound..

I payed $120 for the bike and it had no problem starting.I was planning to fix it up a bit and sell it to make money.

How much does a fuse go for? And is it hard to change it?

  • @jojomoor Sounds like a blown fuse. You should get some lights. It would help if you made a video of it and either pm me the link to the youtube video or let me see it some other way. But I would bet a fuse for sure unless I saw the bike in a video and saw something else that would make me change my mind. Thanks for the question!

  • Hi, I got a 1981 Suzuki GS1000l and was starting just fine but the day after it just di not turn what so ever...Even when boosted with cables, nothing happens. I turn the key and I dont even have any dash lights.

Can you tell me what is happening?
