Assume we can destroy the BANKS, what's next ?Also is really unlikely... I'm from Argentina and we survived worst crisis than just people going for their money at the banks. The government declared the "economic emergency" and released a new "emergency law" where the people couldn't take more than 500 USD per account per day. So the central bank just printed money for the banks until the crisis was dissipated and the emergency law removed. Democracy should be tool enough for change

@NICKgreekzzz making a run on your bank will not only make the bankers laugh uncontrollably but will disadvantage anyone who doesn't have paper cash on them in the short term. People will be forced to use their credit cards to pay for things and presto... debts grow and the govts will have to borrow more to cover the gaps.
In short, a run on the banks didn't work in the 1920's and will definitely not work now. The only way to eliminate banks is to get rid of your credit and your debt. So simple

@NICKgreekzzz I'm not a banker but I do know what will happen if a bunch of mindless foools start withdrawing paper from their accounts... The banks will either shut their doors or just tell their customers "there's no more (paper) money.
If you knew anything about banking you'd know that 95% of all money on the books in banks is straight ledger entry bookeeping. THERE IS NO MONEY! The paper & metal you use as money is worthless because it isn't backed by anything of value
