In the Weekly Republican Address, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) discusses how the changes Americans voted for in November are already affecting Washington.
Sen. Cornyn says, "Republicans prevented a massive, job-killing 'New Year's Day tax increase.'... This bipartisan agreement was made possible because voters gave Republicans much more leverage at the negotiating table. Our leverage forced the White House to abandon its 'class-warfare' rhetoric; stop pandering to the President's left-wing base; and do the right thing for American taxpayers and job creators."
He also points out that Republicans "[held] the line on reckless federal spending."
Sen. Cornyn explains, "Despite their willingness to work with Republicans on taxes, Senate Democrats went their own way on spending by proposing a nearly $1.3 trillion omnibus bill on the American people and by insisting we'd have to vote on it before anyone had the time to figure out what was in it.... "Senate Republicans stood together but we did not stand alone. Millions of Americans made their voices heard on Facebook, Twitter and other social media. You lit up the phone lines across the Capitol and across the Nation. Thank you for doing that. You helped strengthened the resolve of the Republican Caucus and rattled the nerves of the big spenders on the other side of the aisle."

Senator Cornyn, are you SURE you're speaking for the American people? ARE YOU SURE?

@rationalnow well, they've always been dregs of the earth, but they've stoop to new lows. I keep my prediction my friend and you work hard for your disgusting party and we'll see where that gets you. Get some new material regarding Hillary, when I yawn, it's time to change it up a bit and I yawned and took a nap. Cheers.

YOU are NOT doing your job!!! Voting for the Farm Safety Bill was a BIG mistake for TEXAS. What were you thinking? I will work hard to finding someone to replace you Senator...

@rrsrichard You made similar predictions when Republicans voted against several other liberal policies and the result was the biggest GOP victory since 1938 so I'm really not too worried about Obama or 2012. Our GOP nominee won't be a woman. After the disgraceful way that liberal Democrats and the liberal media destroyed Hillary Clinton their probably won't be another credible woman candidate for president for at least 20 years. Obama stole the only chance a woman had to be elected president.

@rationalnow I did notice the bun, but I don't worry about mispelled words, you obviously got it without having to say, I meant burn. Well I guess you got the same smile for Clinton and Reagan as they had similar ratings. You will see with the "NO" on the "First Responders" the "Dream Act" and "NO" on the extension for Unemployment, you're party doesn't have a chance of winning anything in 2012. I guess you can run Sarah and Michelle, lmao. Poor thing.

@rrsrichard
Yeah, I was feeling generous when I replied to you here but made up for it elsewhere. LOL You really don't want to know how I really feel about Obama either but I can tell you I get a big smile on my face when I think of that pathetic 40% approval rating.... just saying.
Look how nice and generous I'm being to you? I didn't even mention that you said "bun in hell!" LMAO
