  • what movie is this??

    plz tell me

  • It's called "The Truce".

  • this is awesome, i don't quite get the ending.

  • Earlier in the film, a British soldier trades his cigarettes for a chocolate bar with a German.

At the end, the same Brit is fiddling with his lighter, and when he reaches into his pocket for a smoke, he finds the chocolate bar instead.

  • not surprised at all, war is an instrument of national policy, so these guys didn't have anything against each other, its just the politicians.

  • Why can't we do that anymore

  • in reality, i think this truce went for close to three months..

  • @CaffeineAddict011 I'm glad you liked it. It played in a few festivals and won a few assorted student film awards.

  • these are true soldiers and true gentlemen..

  • politicians make war, but does not really do the real fighting.

  • Your are now a secondary source in my wonderful Modern History speech about attitudes of soldiers in WW1 :)

  • If more politicians and their sons also had to fight there might be less wars, but unless you are a coward all will fight to defend their freedom when attacked.

  • Football unites people, it makes the world go round!

  • I think this proves two things;

    1) How nations can be bought together with a common interest such as football like in this film and the world cup

    2) The fact that these soldiers had no clue what they were fighting for. They were just taking orders from faceless enforcers. We cannot even say that most of these soldiers were bastards as fighting was forced upon many of them. They had no choice, if they did, they would probably choose peace

  • When we are in war we look for peace....

When there is peace we make war...

chicken first or egg frist ?
